Momoyama Ketubah

Momoyama Ketubah

Artist Stephanie Caplan grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and currently lives in the East Village of New York. She draws on the energy of the city, as well as her academic background in Judaism and art history, to create ketubahs that combine art and ritual in new and surprising ways. The Momoyama Ketubah is inspired by the Momoyama period of 16th century Japan, a style that pairs opulence and beautiful simplicity. Caplan’s signature glowing pigments frame the text with parasol-like chrysanthemums and vibrant branches, bringing a breath of spring to this ketubah design.
